Ok, we have an item wishlist on the forum anyway but here is a condensed list from all sources of items that will be needed that we would like to be worked on during the Art Sprint for Tempest in the Aether on the weekend of April 30th. I will keep a running list going here on this first post so that it will just be a matter of passing on one list for that weekend. If you have item suggestions either post here or PM. Let's get as much as we can and if it can't all be done then oh well. Better to have too much than too little.

We'll need some specifications, too.  For example, general ballpark for poly counts, what all texture types are supported by the engine (e.g. normal maps, reflection maps, etc.), maybe scale, and so on.

300 tris MAX on everything in this list. most can be done with something between 50 - 150. color+specular+normal texturing preferred but at own discretion how much to do of the mapping. also i'd recommend modeling for high resolution subdivision, so use quads as far as possible everywhere.

All of these are also possible choices. The artists may choose to do concepts, other 2d, texturing, uv mapping, rigging, animating, pixel art or even fiction. We'll be around to chat and our artists will be getting their hands dirty alongside Opengameart.

Gas Lamps
ornate fixtures
Table
Chairs
Chandelier
Book Cases
Beds
Sofa
Vanity
Sink
Fixtures (lights, fans, sinks)
Steampunk control room
Nano babbage calucator
Tesla Corporation Telephone device
Phone Booth
Steam Driven Horse-less Buggy
Steam helicopter
Radio
Transmission Tower
Telegraph
Airship
Aethership (space craft)
Space suit
Exterior Terrain for the asteroid our tech demo is on.

I'd like to have more requests here and have ulf make a priority list.

We also have to have some robot attachments and the specs for those. Potentially even some alternative chasis.

Take inspiration from anything on the pages in this link. http://www.antiquearts.com/5063/InventoryPage/913972/1.html&g=1

Also, we mainly need things for robots to use or attach to themselves. the human stuff is much lower priority.

Goo: 200 tris. various colors and shapes. Very simple animations for 'oozing' in place, getting hit (like hitting jello), and vanishing when 'killed'
     ground hugging like a puddle.
     oozing from walls.
     clinging to ceilings.

Scrap: random junk parts. 150 triangles max. can use several types.

Hardware: 50 tris. single screws/rivets/nuts/bolts/wire coils/cables

Tools: 50-200 tris. http://www.flickr.com/photos/uppityrib/4693633246/sizes/l/in/photostream/ single and racked.
         Antique style screwdrivers, saws, hammers
Steampunk style power tools. steam drills, jackhammers, arc cutters
         brooms, mops, scoops

Parts: 20 - 200 tris. Riveted plates, linkages, pistons, pulleys, gears, pipes

Radioactive dust. no glowing green stuff, please.

I got a bit carried away for a couple of hours and ended up making a 3D mockup of BrokenBot. Sorry for not concentrating on the list.

EDIT:

I've started on a Grandfather Clock, there's a lot of vertices so it will have to be normal mapped:

Newer version of Grandfather Clock:

There should be a door on this. Would adding a visible pendulum be unauthentic for the original design? A door would be easier and lighter on polygons.

@failedlurker: The grandfather clock looks really nice. Can you post the poly count for us though? A door would conserve polys but it seems that visible pendulum and chimes are the standard. Perhaps if you can make the door and then include a plane on the inside of the space that someone can apply a flat "pendulum and chimes" texture to then all will be good. It'll just be a matter of making sure the door part of the texture has an alpha map that allows people to see inside.

@Xillix: Although we need these sound things, isn't the art sprint only for 2D and 3D art resources?

@Lady Fujiwara: polycount at this point is a bendy property. The model I showed was the high resolution 'source' which will be used for the normal map.

EDIT:

Here's a test model with normal mapping. The model is at 266 tris and needs to be closed still:

Pardon the awful UV unwrapping.

Why exclude sound?  OGA has a lot of good sound people...  you'd be missing out on their talents.

I'm not too sure what sounds we have currently.  Either way I'm going to need some generic ones for things like widgets.

Well, if sound people will be in on the sprint then by all means.
